Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder gave her the name of her hometown. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father and mother are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria and half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder was born in the United States and moved together with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. They resided in an area without electric power.
